As of May 2009, Region of Waterloo Public Health, in partnership with community agencies, has produced an updated Referral List. The Referral List may be useful to you in combination with the use of the Nipissing District Developmental Screen for early identification of children who are not meeting their developmental milestones.

The Referral List is an introduction to programs and services in Waterloo Region to which families with children 0-6 years of age may be referred when there are child development or parental supports required. The Referral List is organized by "presenting concern" followed by the key agency or agencies to contact and includes a brief description of the program, phone number and a website if available. Presenting concerns include autism, breastfeeding, counselling, hearing, immunization, speech/language and vision.
