How do I become a Library member?

  • Library membership is granted in exchange for a 10.00 (cash) fee and the completion of a Borrower’s agreement. The membership is valid for one year after date of sign up (example: February 7, 2005 to February 7, 2006 )
When is the Library open for borrowing?
  • The Library is open for borrowing and returning September to June, Monday to Thursday mornings 9:15 to 11:15 am , Wednesday afternoons 1-3 pm and Thursday evening 6-7:30 pm. During July and August, it is open Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays mornings. Items can be returned after borrowing hours to reception until 4:00 pm daily, except Fridays 3:00 pm . Items borrowed will be bagged and tagged for your convenience. All toys are cleaned before being re-shelved for borrowing.

Are there any fines if I am late to return items? Video list
  • Toys/Books/CDs/Books on CD- 25 cents per overdue Library day Videos/DVDs/Literacy Kits/Leap Pad and Leap Frog books/Book Boxes-1.00 per overdue Library day If emergencies or unforeseen circumstances arise that delay the return of items, please notify me. Also, please be aware that other members may have reserved the outstanding items and would appreciate a quick return.

Can I reserve items?   Don't have it...? Get it here..
  •   Absolutely, just ask and I will mark your name down on the reserve list. I will notify you when it is available and you will then have 3 Library days in which to claim your item.
 
Can I Use The Library To Read/Study?  
  • Yes, the Library table area is reserved for adult quiet work/reading. Library books/magazines may be read within the Library, however, membership is required to remove them to another part of the building.
   
What if I borrow an item and lose pieces or it breaks?  
  • Some toys are playable without all the parts, some are not. If the entire toy is lost or broken beyond being safe, we will discuss replacement costs. Some items (videos) are subject to everyday wear and tear. Please inform me of any problems encountered while on loan.
   
What are Scholastic Book Clubs?    
  •   Scholastic Book Selection Order Forms are available for order monthly. These order forms provide a low-cost way to build your child’s personal library. See the display on the black table underneath my bulletin board.
