Outreach Program can help.

What is it?

  • the Community Outreach Program is a community-based program created to prevent
    and reduce the depth of child poverty in the Waterloo Region. It is offered by the
    Regional of Waterloo Social Services in collaboration with community partners
What is our goal?
  • our goal is to assist children and families to access services they need in their own community
What is an Outreach Worker?
  • trained and compassionate Outreach Workers can help you find ways to connect with services you and your family may need
A worker can help with concerns such as:
  • fee assistance
  • community activities and special programs
  • accessing emergency services
  • parenting and family issues
  • links to food, clothing and shelter
  • counselling
  • child care and children's needs
  • transportation
  • employment and education
 
How to connect with an Outreach Worker?
You can contact the Community Outreach Information Line directly at 883-2290 and ask about an Outreach program located nearest to your home or call or visit your local neighbourhood association or community centre.
